The following topics were discussed at the May 27 convening of Instruction Council.
~ The council approved the Precision Manufacturing curriculum and program presented earlier this month. Several questions were sent to the presenters which were answered before the vote.
~ The council approved the request for K-8 Early Implementers for Science. A few concerns were expressed regarding the tight time line.
~The council approved the ELA resources for Secondary, 6-12.
~ The council approved Secondary Reading curriculum.
~ The council discussed the GoNoodle resource pilot. This was to be a pilot for three elementary schools next year but Alexian Health has decided to fund this project for all elementary buildings through their grant.
~ The council formed a subcommittee to look at the Social Studies electives presented in April to offer specific feed back to the writers.
