Under the requirements of NCLB, School District U46 will be restructuring 10 elementary schools that have failed to meet the performance metrics to avoid mandatory restructuring.
The ten sites are Channing, Garfield, Highland, Hillcrest, Huff, Laurel Hill, Lords Park, Parkwood, Sheridan, and Washington.

Additionally, a meeting was convened to help staff at the identified sites understand the proposal the district is submitting in compliance with NCLB restructuring mandates. Since then many questions have been presented to both the ETA and Dr. Ushma Shah in relation to the developing plan.

The Transformation Task Force Instruction Council presentation was revised and used at the April 15th Restructuring meeting for all staff. This was intended to give an overview of the how the work of the Task Force has progressed since June 2012.
