The Instructional Council approved the AP Chinese Mandarin proposal. A memo regarding the approval will accompany the proposal when it is presented to the Board of Education.
The Instructional Council heard a proposal for MS Health. Discussion and a vote will be on the agenda for February.
The Instructional Council discussed possible meeting dates for the 15-16 school year. These dates will be discussed next month after receiving additional feedback regarding Secondary testing dates and PARCC assessments.
The Instructional Council was apprised of a concern that Career Cruising was being piloted for use in Elementary without being presented to the Instructional Council and the Board of Education. Before a pilot or a major revision is made to curriculum it needs to go through the Instructional Council approval process.
